Myanmar Amber: A Hidden Gem in the World of Precious Stones

Myanmar (formerly Burma) is globally recognized for its Rubies, Sapphires, Spinels, and Jadeite-Jade. However, few people know that Myanmar is also home to some of the world’s finest amber deposits.

Historical records show that Myanmar has been supplying amber to China for over 2,000 years, dating back to the 1st century. With China’s recent economic boom, amber trading has surged in popularity, drawing over 300,000 people into the mining and trading sector within the last two years.

Exclusive Insights from Myanmar’s Amber Mines

The Hukawng Valley in northern Myanmar has long been known as a major source of amber. However, in 2010-2011, a groundbreaking discovery of amber was made in Hti Lin, Magway Region, Central Myanmar.

In 2015, Mr. Tay visited the Hti Lin amber mine, where he conducted in-depth research on its geology, gemological significance, and scientific testing. Now, for the first time, he will share his expert analysis, rare findings, and unique insights in this must-watch webinar.
