Far East Gem Research Institute has shaped Singapore’s gems and jewellery industry for over three decades. Founded in 1988, the institute grew from a single gem testing laboratory into a recognised centre for education, research and professional development.
In 2024, we updated our name to Far East Gem Research Institute, reflecting our deepened commitment to advancing gemological research alongside education.
