  3. Chemical and physical properties of jadeite and nephrite
  4. Sources of jadeite and nephrite
  5. Mining of jadeite-jade in Burma
  6. Order of rarity of jade among other gemstones
  7. Treatment of jadeite-jade – B-jade, B+C-jade and C-jade.
  8. Discuss testing methods e.g. infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope
  9. Basic testing of jade imitations using loupe, refractometer and prism spectroscopy.
