✅ The Ancient Diamond Deposits of Borneo – A forgotten treasure trove

Borneo Diamonds – One of the World’s Oldest Diamond Sources

Few people know that, like India, the island of Borneo (Kalimantan, Indonesia) is one of the oldest sources of fine diamonds in the world.
Found in alluvial deposits along the Landak River (West Kalimantan)
Located in the Linhaisai minette deposits (Central Kalimantan)
Mined in the Banjarmasin-Martapura region (South Kalimantan)

Historical records trace diamond mining in Borneo as far back as 600 AD, with reports of rare fancy-colored diamonds – including blue, pink, and canary-yellow gemstones.

Exclusive Insights from On-Site Diamond Studies in Kalimantan

Mr. Tay and his team conducted firsthand research at the diamond mines in:
Banjarmasin-Martapura (2002) – Investigating mining and trading activities
Landak River Deposits (2016) – Collecting and analyzing diamond specimens

During these field studies, they purchased 14 diamond specimens from Martapura for further scientific analysis of their morphology, surface features, and spectroscopic properties.

Learn How Diamond Experts Analyze & Authenticate Borneo Diamonds

In this webinar, gain insights into advanced gemological testing used to examine these rare diamonds, including:
Morphological and surface analysis of Kalimantan diamonds
Spectroscopic examination to understand their unique properties

Don’t miss this must-watch webinar on diamonds, their formation, and the forgotten gem deposits of Borneo!
